There are 17 new cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria. Thus, their total number is now 2460. This was announced by the National Operational Headquarters.
1577 people have been tested for the last 24 hours. 11 of the newly infected people are in Sofia, 3 in Shumen, 2 in Pazardzhik, and 1 in Yambol. The infected person from the last region is a medical professional. There are no registered cases of children.
So far, 217 people have been hospitalized, with of them 22 being treated in intensive care units. More new 32 people have been successfully restored to health. The total number of recovered patients is 912.
There are 3 new cases of deaths. The first one is from Plovdiv – a 70-year-old woman with an accompanying disease – a duodenal ulcer, the second one – a 74-year-old woman from Sliven suffering from diabetes, and the last one – a 73-year-old woman suffering from cancer who was treated at Aleksandrovska University Hospital.
The leading countries are the United States with approximately 19,000 new cases, followed by Brazil with just over 15,500 new cases.
They are followed by Russia – with 8900 new cases. The UK registered 2004 newly infected people.
All other countries register less than 1,000 new cases.
