The Facebook group City of Burgas was deactivated after users of the social network reported it. This was announced by its administrators to Iskra.bg. They share that this was the only regional group in which there was no censorship of the city and one of the few in Bulgaria with freedom of speech. According to them, everything for everyone was published there, and it was also useful for many people.
According to the administrators, the users who reported it want to restrict freedom of speech. They even shared that citizens who were members of it wrote to them and asked them why their rights were being violated and whether there really was freedom of speech on Facebook after groups rubbed for no reason. Outraged users have even reported the problem and expect their group to be returned.
Administrators add that access can be restored if these steps are followed and take no more than a minute:
„Open this link https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/157461604368161/ Bookmark GROUP, then write the name of the group City of Burgas, then put the link to the group where it says ADDRESS: www.facebook.com/groups/grad.burgas. Finally it says DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM. After describing it you have to click „Submit“. That’s it.“
The group’s administrators thank anyone who responds to their call for help.
