The leader of the civic platform „Stand Up.BG“ made new harsh criticisms of the government:
„Every day Borissov rules the country will be measured by corpses. The chaos in the healthcare system is complete. No matter what Borisov does, people no longer trust him because he left them to fend for themselves. Everything is broken through the interest of the elections and not the experts, and Borisov makes the decisions to deal with COVID-19. The prime minister ordered hospital beds to be opened, but his orders were no longer carried out and two people died on the stairs in front of the hospital without oxygen. At the same time, there are 26,000 vacant hospital beds in the country.“
In the program „The Evening Show of Slavi Trifonov“ on „Seven Eighth TV“ Manolova also said that the protests are no longer for the rule of law, values and democracy, but for resignation and saving lives. The government played a hangover and left people alone to look for ambulances, hospital beds, money for PCR tests and ventilators. Borissov and his health ministers have been managing the health system for 11 years and they should be so good as not to claim that the responsibility lies with the citizens, added Manolova.
„Stand up. BG“ has a recipe for what to do in the crisis with COVID-19, but „pharmacist“ Borisov is not able to fulfill it because he has no confidence and nothing to do, she said and called for PCR tests immediately to become free, and the infected and the contact persons of the infected to be quarantined in a timely manner.
„To increase the cost of the clinical pathway for COVID-19, to encourage GPs to join the battle against the coronavirus and to use the free 26,000 hospital beds to treat COVID-19, removing dozens of administrative barriers. To introduce e-health, but the government does not want, because when the systems are not connected to each other, it is easier to steal from the resource.“, said Manolova.
She said that in Bulgaria there are currently two scenarios – people dying on the stairs in front of the hospital without oxygen and Borisov in the jeep that shows the road markings.
„People are dying in front of a hospital without health care. Immediate resignation!”, Manolova was adamant.
While we are shocked by the case in Plovdiv, and the Parliamentary Health Committee and the Speaker of Parliament do not react, the parliament passes tax laws. They return the opportunity for public officials to be on the boards of state and municipal companies and to receive tens of thousands of BGN bonuses. In the last paragraphs of the VAT Act there are texts with which they untie the hands of companies for quick loans. They will be able to set penalties that can be up to twice the debt.
She also stressed that the party subsidy is left at BGN 8 per vote, and there are beds and ambulances for the MPs.
