In just over 2 months, the civic platform „Stand Up.BG“ chaired by Maya Manolova gained 52% of the required observers and volunteers for the elections. The process is part of the creation of a parallel civilian CEC to protect the fairness of the upcoming parliamentary vote.

So far, more than 6,200 applications have been submitted online, in the office of the platform and in the regional and municipal offices of „Stand Up.BG“. The largest percentage of volunteers are registered in Burgas – 728 people. There are 739 sections in the multi-member region, i.e. the district is almost entirely covered by volunteers.

In Sofia, applications were submitted by nearly 1,000 people in about 1,600 sections for the three multi-member districts in the capital. In Varna, 403 people have expressed their desire to volunteer for „Stand Up.BG“ at 650 sections in the city. In Plovdiv, the number of volunteers recruited is 468 in 1,018 sections in the multi-member districts in the city.

For Varna, Plovdiv and Sofia, the recruitment of volunteers and observers continues. Blagoevgrad, Vidin, Vratsa, Dobrich, Pazardzhik, Pleven, Ruse, Silistra and Sliven are the multi-member districts in which between 50% and 90% of the volunteers needed for the sectional election commissions have been recruited.

„Stand Up. BG“ accelerates the recruitment of the remaining volunteers needed for the civil CEC in the remaining two months until the elections, with the aim of covering even the smallest settlements. Candidates’ applications are collected in the following ways:
