The attempts at „political poaching“ by the presidential administration in relation to the future project of former caretaker ministers Kiril Petkov and Assen Vassilev do not make a good impression. BSP MP Stoyan Mirchev commented on the topic to „BNR“.
According to him, the only way out of the situation is for the Head of State to be able to differentiate himself from the information released in the public space, „that a person from his administration helped Petkov and Vassilev’s contacts with the “Ecoglasnost” party, which is part of our coalition.“
According to Stoyan Mirchev, Kiril Petkov had a meeting with Emil Georgiev, the leader of” Ecoglasnost”, in an attempt to call for a mandate.
Mirchev does not believe he will take the new formation from the BSP voters, as the policies of the Harvard graduates are right-wing. On the other hand, the left has a strong sense of „self-preservation“ and any attempt to steal party supporters would rather have the opposite effect.
The MP believes that the people from „Democratic Bulgaria“ should be more concerned about their similar views with the two representatives from the „Yanev 1“ cabinet. It should also be borne in mind that one of the ministers took part in the establishment of the party.
Although Mirchev has repeatedly stated that he is calm and not worried about the new possible formation, he did not miss an opportunity to point out that poaching in politics is not right. Especially if you have claims to new morality and a fair and transparent policy, he said.
„We are talking about Mr. Koprinkov from the presidency, I am sure that this is the name behind this unclean practice, which is trying to impose itself.„, the socialist added.
He is convinced that a person’s claims that he will not work at the left or right level usually do not lead to anything good.
