The Council of Ministers adopted a Decision on the preparation and holding of the elections for President, Vice President and Members of Parliament on November 14, the official cabinet decided today during a meeting.
According to the governmental decision, Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov is entrusted with: the coordination of the implementation of activities related to the organizational and technical preparation of the elections, including the coordination with the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the conditions and procedure for the production, delivery and storage of election papers and materials, as well as the storage of technical devices for the machine voting.
The Minister of the Interior shall organize the implementation of the activities within the competence of the Ministry of the Interior in connection with the preparation and conduct of the elections.
The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works shall coordinate the preparation and publication of voter lists.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs shall organize the preparation and holding of elections outside the country.
The Minister of Health, in coordination with the Chief State Health Inspector, shall determine the necessary anti-epidemic measures related to the election process.
The Minister of Justice shall organize the activities for the preparation and conduct of elections in places of imprisonment.
The Deputy Prime Minister for Public Order and Security and the Minister of the Interior, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, the Minister of Health and the Minister of Justice will inform the Prime Minister about the progress of the election preparations until the announcement of the election results.
