In case 22 laws are not adopted by the end of the year, BGN 20 billion of European money intended for the Bulgarian economy will be suspended and lost. This was announced by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov, who is in Veliko Tarnovo, pointing out the consequences:
„The update of pensions will not happen, which is an incredible blow to the poorest at the moment – retirees. Young families will not receive additional tax breaks, fuels will continue to keep prices high. Most likely in the fall there may be another covid wool. If Bulgaria enters a series of elections at this time, it would be really disastrous and a waste of historical time, said the Prime Minister.“
According to the Prime Minister, if we enter a series of elections, it will be disastrous and a waste of historical time. He stressed that everyone should realize why he is in parliament and what his responsibilities are. His goal is to have 121 MPs and he is grateful to those like Radostin Vassilev. However, he declined to comment on yesterday’s audio recording.
„They said: „Our loyalty is to Bulgaria and we will not allow the replacement of our promised ideas with some behind-the-scenes agreements and friendships for 20 years with people like Orlin Alexiev. The question is, the example will be followed by 7 more people.“
And he added:
„I will continue to talk to anyone who will work in the interests of Bulgaria in the middle of the war and in the midst of the political, inflationary and energy crisis, I am sure we will meet more like-minded people. Everything else is irresponsible.“
According to him, it is purely mathematical about how many people who have taken the oath will keep their word.
At the same time, at the Revival and Constituent Assembly Museum, Petkov met with 10-year-old Alexandra Stefanova, who sent him a letter a month ago stating that she wanted to meet him because she wanted to be involved in politics and grow up to become prime minister.
