„The French proposal cannot simply be rejected. At least, because it is the result of the work of the Bulgarian diplomats, that is, the foreign one, headed by Ganchovska, who complains that she is being ignored. Colleagues have done their job professionally, they have found a credible way to achieve our interests by placing them in time, together with the relevant European guarantees. As we reserve the right to withdraw the manual during the non-negotiation process.“
This was stated by analyst Ilian Vassilev on Facebook. According to him, the greatest achievement is the overcome vulnerability of the dispute with the Republic of North Macedonia /RNM/ to be presented only as a bilateral dispute. However, he is skeptical that the National Assembly will decide anything before the European Council.
„The most undignified thing is that Ganchovska started looking for technical reasons – there was no time?!“Sorry, but whether there is time or not is decided by the National Assembly, not Ganchovska. The hybrids started – not a European position, not a „France guarantee“ / from the prominent representative of the skilled school of Uchindol diplomacy /, not a French position – nothing that was imported by the French ambassador to our country / too sad to be a joke /.„, Vassilev points out, adding:
„I say to myself, in Skopje, with this anti-Bulgarian rally, they practically showed that the proposal of France and the European Union (EU) is unacceptable for the Macedonian nationalists, which put him under a stress test. It is the perfect time for us to say that we accept the approach and the position so that „Macedonian heroes“ can freely enjoy nationalist torments outside the EU for a long time. In fact, this rally poured so much water into our mill that it would be a crime not to use it. In short, the proposal of the French Presidency of the EU must be accepted as a matter of urgency – a very good basis that can be developed.„
Kiril Petkov’s position to seek a national consensus at any cost is absurd, the analyst said. According to him, the „people of Moscow„, even if Skopje signs our demands, will still find a way to keep the wound open. It is enough to have a broad consensus in Parliament, he added.
„If Prime Minister Petkov does not make a declaration that the proposal of the French presidency is a wonderful basis, which we are ready to accept as a basis for resolving bilateral disputes. The Prime Minister can emphasize that the National Assembly must sanction this step, because it is the National Assembly that will approve the agreement on the accession of the RNM to the EU one day,„, Vassilev concluded.
