GERB took the legislative power and there is nothing to dodge, Atanas Atanasov from „Democratic Bulgaria“ /DB/ said on the occasion of the election of the Parliamentary Chairperson. In his words, after the „installation“ of Vezhdi Rashidov, next to him comes Rosen Zhelyazkov, behind him Desislava Atansova and then we go to Bankya.
For now, the attitude is that we are going to elections, but there may be a surprise, because it is important who sets the agenda, the MP pointed out and added that there was great speculation from GERB about who proposed what. He also specified that they voted against Rashidov on the grounds that control in the legislative power would go to GERB and suggested that behind his election was an agreement to return the paper ballot.
Atanasov pointed out that DB had not discussed his candidacy for Chairperson.
„Boyko really wants to embrace us. It will not happen. Whoever is embraced by Boyko, they leave politics,„, he added.
The politician recalled that the previous coalition was formed before Russia invaded Ukraine. However, the war has put big dividing lines with the BSP on the military aid case.
According to Atanasov, it is not excluded to get a third mandate and he is interested who will get it. He thinks that those who overthrew the previous cabinet should take responsibility now and accused GERB of buying votes, while the caretaker government did not act as it was engaged in a purge in the administration.
