The public tender for the selection of a contractor for the main repair of the road to the villages of Rosen, Veselie and Yasna Polyana has been completed. This was announced by the Burgas People’s Representative from „We continue the change“ Konstantin Bachiiski. All the necessary steps have been taken to evaluate the technical part, the bids have been opened and a contractor has already been announced for the main repair of the 21-km route.
“What was not done in ten months by the official cabinet, was now done in just 10 days”, emphasized the deputy.
The road to these settlements has not been overhauled for nearly 35 years, and because of its poor condition, local residents protested and blocked the main Burgas-Sozopol-road on July 8.
Then Konstantin Bachiyski met with the protesting citizens and, as a representative from the region, took responsibility to personally follow the development of the case and hold talks with the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, as well as with the chairman of the Road Infrastructure Agency. The protest was also attended by the mayor of Sozopol, Tikhomir Yanakiev, who also put a lot of effort into this case.
At the same time, it became clear that the money for the repair was provided for in the budget. At the protest, Konstantin Bachiiski took responsibility and promised the residents of the villages of Rosen, Veselie and Yasna Polyana that he would do everything possible to solve the problem. He stated:
“Let the residents of the region know that when I give my word, I keep it. I assured them that the public procurement would be finalized by the state administration within a month and it happened in just 10 days. Unlike many people who just talk, for me it is much more important what I can actually do to solve people’s problems. My strength is that I understand the details of things and when I identify a problem, I find a workable solution. Thanks to the excellent work and good interaction of BRRD and the Road Infrastructure Agency, things happened and it was seen that the state can work quickly and in the interest of the citizens, when there is a strong will to do so. After the opening of the procedure, it is clear that a total of 5 bids have been submitted and a contractor has already been selected, the important step for the people has been taken.”
