The leader of „There are such people“ Slavi Trifonov commented on the decision of GERB to elect Anton Hekimian as their candidate for mayor of Sofia. He shared the following post on Facebook:
„Any Bulgarian citizen who meets the conditions of the law can be a candidate for mayor. In this line of thought, Anton Hekimian clearly meets the conditions of the law. But does he meet the conditions of morality?
Let’s assume that the other day Boyko Borissov proposed him, yesterday he resigned as head of BTV news and today he ran for mayor of GERB. All this is unlikely.
What is more likely is that he has been sympathetic to GERB for a long time and as head of BTV news in recent years he has paved the way for GERB in the media space.
Of course, I don’t know if this is the case, but it makes the most sense. It is not illegal, but it is proof of all this political vaudeville in Bulgaria’s public space. Didn’t Boyko Borissov call journalists missives. Apparently there is a missir. So, between the representative of the missives and the representative of the liars, I choose Ivaylo Valchev. He is your representative!“
