Current mayor of Sungurlar village of Manolich Belgin Kadish was elected for a new term by the MRF. This is shown by a Iskra.bg’s reference with the decision of the MEC-Sungurlare of September 26.
Thus, the party publicly declared its support for Kadish, despite the fact that in June his name was involved in a major scandal with an attempt to cover up the capture of a poacher and his helper by officials of the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture /EAFA/.
The decision of the MRF aroused puzzlement among some of the residents of the Sungurlar village, who were shocked by the incident in which Belgin Kadish tried to cover up his son Serkan Kadish and his cousin Dzhevdet Resmi, who was poaching in Kamchia dam. Kadish then behaved extremely rudely with the EAFA officers, hitting, threatening and insulting them. There is a case file in the District Prosecutor’s Office against Kadish’s son and a case file in the District Prosecutor’s Office against Kadish himself.

Local residents are widely questioning whether Kadish, whose name has already been tarnished in a disgraceful manner, is the right person to protect the public’s interests, or is it far more likely that he will continue to pursue his own personal goals and patronize poachers, especially if they are his relatives.
At the moment, the MRF is silent about the incident, which suggests that they are not against what happened and probably Ahmed Dogan and Mustafa Karadayi perceive Belgin Kadish’s behaviour as normal, even nominating him for mayor. The question arises for Dogan and Karadayi what is more important – to have a person in a certain post no matter how compromised he is and what he will do or they want their fellow villagers from Manolich to live in a better place. Judging by the lack of reaction, the former is a more possible option and if so the MRF is once again showing itself as an anti-Bulgarian party, working in favour of its personal interest and not the public interest.
Iskra.bg conducted its own survey of public opinion and attitudes in the village of Manolich, from which it became clear that a large part of the residents support independent candidate for mayor, Ayshe Gudzhen, who can be proud of her impeccable reputation.
Until now, she has been part of the Municipal Council-Sungurlare, being among the most active in the last four years. People describe her as positive and enterprising, which is why they see her as a suitable successor to compromised Belgin Kadish from MRF.
