Delyan Peevski and Boyko Borissov forced the country to go to elections instead of joining Schengen and the Eurozone. This is what Ivaylo Mirchev, MP from “We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria”, wrote in a comment on the social network Facebook. According to him, at the moment Peevski is pressuring Borissov to participate in a puppet government that would be controlled by himself. He also said:
„Peevski and Borissov forced the country to go to elections instead of completing the process of joining the Eurozone, Schengen, replacing 130 people in the regulators on a transparent basis (not with party quotas), completing the judicial reform.
After the elections, Peevski is even stronger and is pressuring Borissov to participate in a puppet government controlled entirely by Peevski, who already holds the judiciary, the services, the Interior Ministry.
Today, Borissov is trying to transfer to “We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria” the responsibility for GERB’s unwillingness to pay the price of a government controlled by Peevski.
At the moment, negotiations are underway between Borissov, Peevski, Slavi Trifonov and the oligarchic part of the BSP, which is dependent on Peevski.
There will be a puppet cabinet. It is not so important whether it will happen in the first term or the third term. At the moment, the agreements are being made and the ministries and spheres of influence are being divided between TISP, GERB and MRF.
The future government will be many times more harmful than similar ones of the „Berov“ type in the past, because the country is on the threshold of fundamental changes and important decisions that must be made, and those making them are public figures who have proven to be harmful to society.
The role of We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria” will be only in the interest of the country – exposing the dependencies of Borissov and Peevski and the risks this brings to the government. The price we will all pay will be measured in tens of billions, possible international isolation, unreformed judiciary, regulators dependent on Peevski and Borissov, dysfunctional institutions.“
