There are 54 unguarded beaches on the territory of Burgas Region. This was reported by the Regional Administration to Iskra.bg.
The regional governor will provide water rescue activities to 11 of them. The criteria by which the beaches are determined are – accessibility, attendance, proximity to populated areas, being in an urbanized area, etc.
The Ministry of Tourism has allocated financial resources in the amount of 370 000 BGN, which will secure the water rescue activities.
Public procurements are being announced today on the page of the Centralized Automated Information System „Electronic Public Procurement“ (CAIS EPP).
Only for the beach „Atanasovka Kosa“ – Burgas, the water rescue will be secured through direct contracting because of its proximity to the urbanized territory of the city of Burgas and the large number of visitors, the Regional Government also explained to Iskra.bg.
The estimated value of the services for the provision of beach rescue shall not exceed BGN 50 000 excluding VAT. The direct commissioning of the activities for this beach will ensure that they start from July 2024, which will further guarantee the protection of the life and health of visitors.
