Changes in senior positions in the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture /EAFA/ are ongoing. This was reported by Iskra.bg based on anonymous sources.
We remind that on 26 September it became clear that Deputy Director of EAFA Hristo Panayotov and Secretary General of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Agency Sergey Kostadinov have left their posts.
Today, it was announced that Georgi Manolov, who previously held the position of Secretary General of EAFA, has been appointed Director of the Directorate for Fisheries Management and Protection of Fish Resources.
Currently, Manolov is a municipal councilor in the Nesebar Municipal Council. He served as the Deputy Mayor of Nessebar from 2007 to 2011 and worked for eight years in an expert position as head of a department in the Ministry of Economy, Directorate for Operational Program Innovations and Competitiveness, where he was responsible for the implementation of the program in Southeast Bulgaria. His education is higher – Economics, he holds a master’s degree.
Nikolay Boychev will take the place of the Deputy Director of EAFA. He also held the post in 2021, was engaged in private business, was in the management of Burgasbus, as well as being a candidate for municipal councilor. He has professional experience.
