As Iskra.bg reported yesterday, parents of third-graders from the school „St. Methodius and St. Methodius. Cyril and Methodius“ in Burgas came out in protest because of a problematic student. Teachers also stood behind them.
The student is accused of aggressive behaviour, which is why the other children are not attending classes at the moment… because they are afraid. Both they and their parents.
After Iskra.bg gave publicity to the case, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy /MLSP/ have investigated themselves. According to our media, a team of psychologists is currently travelling from Sofia to Burgas to establish the truth about the whole scandalous case.
Such an extreme measure is resorted to only in the case of the death of a student or evidence of serious violence, our sources explained.
Moreover, a meeting on the matter will be held today at the Regional Education Department in the seaside town. It will be attended by representatives of the Children’s Pedagogical Room, as well as the Child Protection Agency, because there are suspicions that the problematic student is himself a victim of violence. But this fact is yet to be established.
Iskra.bg managed to talk to the parents of the affected children, who are adamant that they do not want the problematic student to be transferred to another class or school. They insist that he be transferred to an individual form of education.
