The leader of the party MECH, Radostin Vassilev, called for the creation of a majority against Borisov and Peevski. The aim is to create a Ministry of Justice, which will unite all power structures and ensure order in the state. Vassilev announced that he would propose this to the We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria and the party that received the third mandate. He added that he would take on the responsibility of becoming interior minister.
According to the CEC data, based on 99.71% of processed protocols, the MECH won 4.59% of the votes (111,615 votes), which ensures them a seat in the 51st National Assembly.
Vassilev stressed that MECH is positioned against corruption. He thanked all the voters and said that the party will show a new face, which corresponds to the values of morality, unity and honor. Vassilev announced his intention to form an anti-GERB and anti-DPS majority with 140-150 MPs. According to him, the responsibility of We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria is to invite all those who want a coalition against Borissov and Peevski. He added that this majority will be supported by anti-corruption laws.
