Medical professionals working in the capital insist on the introduction of a ban on leaving people’s homes as well as the restriction for entering and leaving the city. The proposal came from the Bulgarian Medical Association in the fight against Covid-19, BNR reported.
Bulgaria’s Attorney General Ivan Geshev supported the call of medical professionals and said he has been receiving calls from all over the country recently, coming from the medical community. Experts call for radical measures, which he demanded too on Tuesday at the National Assembly.
Geshev urged politicians to listen to the voice of doctors, as they will work on the front line if the current situation develops negatively. He also emphasized that when members of society get ill, they go to a doctor, not to the MPs.
In Geshev’s opinion, if we wait a little longer, it may be too late and we may be in a situation in which Italy is now.
The Attorney General stressed that now is the time when politicians must show responsibility to citizens and protect them, the country and their own relatives.
