33 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in Bulgaria in the last 24 hours. Thus, the total number of the infected  patients became 276. This was announced by Major General Professor Dr. Ventsislav Mutafchiyski during the regular briefing at the National Operations Headquarters. He said that for the last few hours the positive samples found have already reached 12.

„As for the new positive samples, 3 of the cases were found in people from Burgas – a woman of 22, two children of 3 and 8 years old. They have contacted one of the doctors there. The woman has a history of travelling to England. There are 4 cases in Plovdiv – two men and two women.  Sofia’s Infectious Diseases Hospital registered the second case of the day – a man of 36 years. There is also an infected person in Kyustendil – a man of 57“, Mutafchiyski specified.

Another patient who has successfully recovered from coronavirus infection is expected to be discharged from the hospital today.

A DMS line with the short number 17 777 was opened to support the Bulgarian medical professionals working in the conditions of COVID-19.

„We appeal citizens to participate in the campaign. Yesterday, the money was transferred from one of the major contributors to the campaign, namely Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant, with the donation amounting to BGN 800,000“, Mutafchiyski said.
