There are 49 new COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria, 25 of which are admitted to hospitals, announced the head of the National Operations Headquarters, gen. Ventsislav Mutafchyiski, during the regular virus briefing from today morning. The total number of COVID-19 patients in Bulgaria reaches 783 marking a 6,5% increase on a daily basis.
In the capital city of Sofia, there are 32 new cases, 7 cases in Smolyan, and 1 case in Kyustendil, Sliven, Plovdiv, Kardzhali, Burgas, Vidin, Gabrovo, Veliko Turnovo, and Dobrich respectively.
There are 9 new cases of coronavirus among health workers, 2 of which are registered in the hospital of “Pirogov”, 1 in the emergency medical center in Sofia, and 2 more in the capital.
A total of 122 people have recovered from the respiratory disease, 17 of which have been discharged from the hospital over the last 24 hours. The number of recovered children is 6.
Yesterday, a 70-years-old man suffering from hypertension passed away in the hospital of “Pirogov”. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in the country is 37.
