We have all seen how Bulgarian territory is being conquered and how our country is being conquered. We have all seen the Bulgarian flag being trampled by anonymous criminals and Bulgarian citizens being pushed into the sea from the national coast. We can regain the conquered state by resisting lawlessness – every day. Each of us must do it. Man by man. Only in this way can we restore legitimacy, democracy and dignity.
This was stated by the organizers of the event “Mass walk on a guarded beach”, which will be held on Saturday in Rosenets Park from 11:00 to 14:00. One of the initiators is Ivailo Mirchev. He commented on the need for the demonstration in front of Iskra.bg:
The reason for the event is what happened yesterday, namely the desecration of the Bulgarian flag. We want to get together and get our flag back. We call on people who can come by boat on the water to do so. Who does not have such an opportunity, let him come to the barrier. It is located on a municipal road and was placed illegally.
Mirchev clarified that all measures imposed due to the pandemic will be observed during the day. In this way, the event will not be allowed to become a cause of mass infection. So far, more than 20,000 people have expressed interest in the demonstration:
We expect a much smaller number of them to come, but there are people – a large number of people will come with more than 20 boats of different sizes. We have to show exactly where it can be moored, because the land is state property.
Among those present will be the former Minister of Justice and co-chair of Democratic Bulgaria Hristo Ivanov. He pointed out to our team:
I’m going to ask for my flag. Ivaylo Mirchev and I put it on, but it was thrown away by a man who, in my opinion, is a security guard from the National Security Service (NSS). Today we will file a complaint to the Prosecutor’s Office about what happened. There is a penal code for such an act. We want the tricolor returned to us. We want to get our country back!
Ivanov pointed out that what happened in Rosenets is an emblem of all lawlessness. According to him, there are people who are above the law and the rules do not apply to them:
However, the institutions work and serve them. I will not name in what way. This impudence and all lies must be stopped. Yesterday we went to announce that the named land is public state property and we want access to the road to be provided.
Hristo Ivanov clarified that the aggression came from people who did not identify themselves, but suspected that they were NSO guards.
