The emergency epidemic situation in our country will be extended by one month. This was announced by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov after presenting the government’s socio-economic measures to deal with the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, the emergency epidemic will continue until the end of August.

On July 6, it was extended until the end of July. Borissov also announced that an order would be issued by the Minister of Health for the new extension of the emergency epidemic situation. After the cabinet reshuffles, the post was taken by Kostadin Angelov, who replaced Kiril Ananiev. For his part, Ananiev became finance minister in place of Vladislav Goranov.
Borissov did not disclose details of what measures will take effect in August – whether indoor masks will remain mandatory and whether new ones will be introduced.
