The police are investigating Aytos businessman Yuzdzhan Osmanov on suspicion of committing molestation against an underage girl.
A few days ago, a worried parent from Aytos contacted Iskra.bg and told the details of the case. According to him, Osmanov groped the teenage girl this spring. She, in turn, told her boyfriend, who is also under 18. The boy gathered a dozen of his friends, armed themselves with knives and went to the home of the accused. There they were met by Osmanov’s wife. She asked the children what had triggered their aggression and when she found out, she replied:
„This is not his first time!„
The woman hid her husband in their home. Police officers were called to the scene and stopped the conflict before it escalated.
However, an investigation into the case was launched. All the children who were present in front of Osmanov’s home were called and questioned by the police. A psychologist was also present during the conversations. The person who mentioned the crime is puzzled by the fact that the teenagers should have been questioned at the time, and this was not done immediately, that is, in the spring.
The worried parent claimed that were other similar cases, but the children hid it out of shame. One of them even graduated from high school.
„The children are silent because this is a blow to them. It is more worrying that the man in question, who is suspected of pedophilia, owns a small snack shop opposite Hristo Botev Secondary School. What if he targets victims while working there?”, he asked, adding:
„Imagine how it feels to have someone grope you and then see them walking down the street. This is not acceptable. There are witnesses to the act itself.”
The police in Burgas confirmed that pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case, and the prosecutor in charge is Iliyan Panteleev. Iskra.bg contacted the state prosecutor, who firmly refused to disclose information. He explained:
„I cannot give you any information at this stage. When the case is over and it is at the stage of presenting the materials from there, there is possibly more freedom to provide information. At this stage I am adamant that I cannot give you any information. Not for any other reason, but because the case is specific, and in many cases it is viewed behind closed doors.“
A reference to the Commercial Register indicates that Osmanov owns a snack shop located on Stantsionna street opposite the educational institution. The facility is currently closed, most likely due to the students’ summer vacation. An interesting fact is that in 1996 he was a partner with the Burgas municipal councilor and businessman Bencho Benchev, who was accused of hiding Dimitar Zhelyazkov, nicknamed Mityo Ochite, in Turkey.
Our editorial staff tried to contact Osmanov for a comment, but the attempt was unsuccessful.
