The COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictive measures implemented have depopulated streets, squares and boulevards. Many people have decided to continue their social isolation while staying in the countryside.
In the village of Kremenik, the village of Dupnitsa is rarely disinfected, the roads are dusty and strewn with holes, and there is a hospital in Dupnitsa. However, the number of residents in the settlement has increased significantly because people believe that they are away from COVID-19 and the psychosis around it.
Similar is the story of Niki Gerovski, who almost 2 weeks ago abandoned luxury in the capital, started his car, and settled with his family in his father’s house in Kremenik.
“We have a garden. We are isolated. We haven’t been working for 15 days.”
Stanislava Stefanova also rediscovered the life of the village after she and her family invested in a quiet house near the shore of Dyakovo Dam.
“It is much easier to live in the countryside at the moment than to be confined in the apartments. Working in the garden after a busy day seems relaxing. Fatigue disappears immediately.”
The local population is of the opinion that it is more difficult to spread in the village of COVID-19 because there are no crowds, there is no public transport, and there is also a large movement of strangers. However, they take measures to ensure that they comply with the restrictions imposed by the National Headquarters and do not go out of their way.
