Businessman Atanas Bobokov is facing court, „NOVA“ reportеd. He wants to be released due to health problems.
The measure was supposed to be considered on October 1, but due to the absence of Bobokov’s lawyers, the hearing is taking place today. They stated that the cause was an illness. One of the defenders feared he was infected with COVID-19, and the other was not feeling well either.
The Prosecutor’s Office submitted nine volumes of new case materials. Among them are documents for the nearly 8,000 tons of hazardous waste discovered a few days ago. According to the indictment, they were kept by companies fictitiously created with the financial help of businessmen Plamen Bobokov and Atanas Bobokov.
We remind you that Atanas Bobokov asked to be released in July as well. The court then rejected his request.
