Mustafa Emin resigned from his position as an advisor in the political cabinet of the Minister of Defence Todor Tagarev. He announced this himself on Facebook, specifying that he had taken this step in order to end the attack against him and the government. His resignation came after a scandal between him and the largest emergency hospital in our country – Pirogov Emergency Hospital. It is alleged that Emin threatened doctors and nurses that he would call the Minister of Health, Hristo Hinkov, and that there would be consequences for them after they refused to take a child out of the Shock Room in order for his child to be transferred there.
On the social network, Emin also wrote:
„I will protect my name and dignity by proving the truth about my communication with the staff at Pirogov Hospital in court, being grateful for the help of doctors and nurses and not accepting accusations and suggestions from posts and internal checks.
I would also like to suspend temporarily my participation in the National Council of „Yes Bulgaria“, as it is important that the investigation be impartial.
Thank you for the support of my family, friends, colleagues and hundreds of Bulgarian citizens who value truth and human dignity, and do not accept the way I was slandered.
Through my experience of this information attack against me, I want to warn that this pressure will grow and destroy trust, it will oppose and provoke aggression – let us confront this threat together.“
