This is what Alexander Dunchev wrote in his profile on the social network Facebook. He was adamant that their battle with the Ikhtiman logging company „Express 79“ EOOD continues despite the threats.
This morning he and his colleagues demanded an audit by the English company Soil Association. The aim is to find out why the FSC-certificate of a company with thousands of cubic meters of illegal logging, the wood of which is placed on the entire European market, has not yet been revoked.
„Today, we also started checking logging sites checked by forest inspectors, whether they correctly establish illegal logging, or if they close their eyes out of fear and whether they recognize the fresh fake stamps used to cover up illegal logging“, stressed Dunchev.
He revealed that a bunch of similar violations were discovered yesterday at another company. It operates in Koprivshtitsa, where apparently the irregularities were also conveniently missed by the local inspectors. But all this, according to Dunchev, will be reflected in an international report.
In the meantime, the deputy from „We continue the change“ /PP/ and his colleagues have sent a question to the Minister of Agriculture Ivan Ivanov, with which they want to understand how acts are written for 5 trees of all other companies, but not of the Ikhtiman „Express 79“ EOOD . He is adamant that what needs to be done is to terminate the contracts and withhold the guarantees, because it is about established illegal logging in the amount of hundreds and thousands of cubic meters per year.
„It’s clear how, but let’s see if someone will admit it…“ Dunchev emphasized.
