„Kintex“ is threatened with paying BGN 53,530 in fines per week or BGN 212,000 per month due to its inability to deliver on time ammunition that was ordered more than half a year ago. This was revealed by the former director of the enterprise, Alexander Mihaylov, in a message to the media.
According to him, these are further outrages and damages caused by the management of VMZ appointed by Cornelia Ninova, which prioritizes private companies at the expense of the state interest.
“The most scandalous thing is that the finished product has disappeared and there is no answer as to why it was given and to which private company instead of the state trader”, commented Mihailov and showed an official letter from the former director of the Ministry of Interior, which states that as of February 9 several thousand pieces of the products ordered by „Kintex“ were produced.
However, after the start of the war, this amount mysteriously disappeared and to date the timely implementation of the foreign trade agreement is at risk. Alexander Mihaylov also commented
“The sister company VMZ is responsible for the whole situation. It turns out that in recent months, instead of helping Kintex, the state-owned plant has been taking care of itself
more for the interests of certain private companies.”
In January of this year, „Kintex“ awarded the Navy an order for artillery ammunition and pays the corresponding advance. Before he was dismissed from Nineveh, the director of the enterprise, Eng. Getsov, confirms early delivery yet in July and reports that some quantities have already been produced. Mihaylov sais:
“Since June, however, by order of Ninova, Ivan Ivanov, unknown to anyone in the industry and without a day’s experience in a production enterprise, has been appointed to the plant.”
According to him, from that moment things turned around and constantly 1-2 private companies were ahead of „Kintex“ and all other customers of the plant in receiving production, even though their orders were placed months later. The amount of projectiles produced mysteriously disappears. Alexander Mihailov explains:
“The question logically arises, why is all this happening? The answer is very clear – because at the moment there is a huge demand on the market for exactly these artillery shots, which are used intensively in the fighting in Ukraine. There are so many orders for these goods that only the delivery time matters to the customer, because during a war, ammunition is bought „at any price“ in the literal and figurative sense of this expression.”
According to him, private companies that rearranged „Kintex“ in the last 2 months generated big profits, and the state trader is on the verge of falling into arrears, paying penalties and even compromising in front of a traditional customer of his. This is another scheme in the system of the Ministry of Economy and the industry discovered by Mihailov. At the same time, the State Agency „National Security“ launched an inspection in the companies he mentions.
