The „Poison Trio“ continues to protest, but in a different form. Actions will be held in Sofia, but new initiatives are also starting. One of them is to organize those 67% of Bulgarian citizens who support the demonstrations against the government and Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev. For this purpose, the „Poison Trio“ began to tour places and meet people. This was revealed to Iskra.bg by Arman Babikyan.
„We are starting tours in the country because there are thousands of our supporters who see the protest on television and on social networks. They are very worried about the unceremonious attitude of the local and central authorities, the way they are oppressed, the way they instill fear and limit their opportunities to protest in places. So we decided that we should encourage them and see them as well. Sofia is not the whole of Bulgaria. We realize that this 67-68% support for the protests does not only consist of the people we protested every night in the square. These are millions of Bulgarian citizens and they also need to have a conversation with them, to encourage them and to organize them.“, Babikyan explained.
He stressed that they realized that the power of the oligarchy and corruption were well organized. And he added:
“It uses the tools of the state. They are in its hands. Organized crime also works well with them. All power and financial structures function in good coordination with Borissov’s government. We realized that a disorganized look would be difficult to continue and finish the battle, and difficult to achieve. You know? When there is an organized criminal group against you, you have to organize yourself. And that’s why we have to go into that phase and do just that.“
Asked by Iskra.bg whether the “Poison Trio” plans to form a political party, Babikyan explained that he is not authorized to speak on behalf of others, as he has personally been a member of a political force for more than 10 years.
„For me, this is the normal way to fight in a democratic country. On the other hand, when a prime minister does not hear for 116 days what is being asked of him, he forcibly urges protesters to fight in the other field – the election field. If those people who are in the squares of Bulgaria and in the cities of Western Europe and the United States, etc. if they do not receive the requested resignation, they will certainly move to the other territory and seek a solution to their problem through elections. And they will get the solution to their problem. So if someone thinks that he will win by going to the polls and intending to steal votes there, the battle will continue until the end!”, Babikyan explained emphatically.
He stressed that our country is currently in feudal possession. That is why everyone has to come together, to ignore their own ideological views for a while, until the state returns to the rails of democracy.
„This is a high national priority. Then everyone will be able to be a supporter of their left, right, centrist, green and any views. This is a national task! „, he added.
Tomorrow, the „Poison Trio“ will organize the first demonstration after the end of the protests in their previous form. They will throw shoes in front of the Council of Ministers, and this will be a symbol for the people who have left the country because of the vicious ruling of this government. Babikyan personally prepared 12 pairs of shoes.
