“I cannot describe the moment I picked up the Bulgarian flag! I felt a tremendous sense of pride and joy,” said Biser Russimov from the Organisation for Civil Protection of the Bulgarian Citizens (OCPBC)

The situation follows the events of the officer who disgraced the Bulgarian flag at national park “Rossents”

In an interview for ISKRA.BG, Russimov said:

“I was determined to do it even though I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I head off for park “Rossents” by boat from the port at “Kraymorie” and reached the shores of the park”.

Russimov said there was a heavy concentration of supporters of the political party Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRPF). The flag has been surrounded by about 20 political supporters and there have been intimidating people with jet skis in the waters.

The person who took the flag asked Ivan Ivanov from “OCPBC” whether he would follow him. He agreed and both went out to take the tricolor:

“We went there and the moment we said why we went there, supporters of MRPF surrounded us. Thankfully, they weren’t hostile and we did what intended to do.”

Russimov said the flag will be taken to the national protest in Sofia that is planned to take place on Thursday. It would serve as a symbol of the Bulgarian unity:

“It is time for it to mark the moment of a new era in the Bulgarian Parliament!”

The patriots will head out to the capital city tomorrow at 10:30 AM. The meeting point is the parking of superstore “METRO”.

“Come in advance so we can gather around, have a talk, and head out together at 10:30 without any delays. Let’s this time stand together and defend the Bulgarian flag and our nation against those who dare to disgrace it. Long live Bulgaria!”
