“Why are you covering up corruption in road construction? Why did you create yet another corruption-serving PR campaign in the history of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works? Why did you pompously present the results of laboratory samples of the Trakia highway, taken in the section from Stara Zagora to Yambol?”
These questions are addressed by the head of the Road Safety Institute, Bogdan Milchev, to the Regional Minister Arch. Ivan Shishkov. His post also states:
“In your failed attempt to fool people that you are concerned about their lives, health and money, you have decided to deceive the public by sampling a road surface that was built 10 years ago and the results of which will result in absolutely nothing due to the simple reason that in addition to depreciation, which is normal, the construction warranty has also expired.
On the other hand, you refused to assist the Road Safety Institute to take samples from newly constructed and newly constructed roads such as the „Europa“ highway, the Botevgrad-Vidin road, the „Hemus“ highway (Lot 1) and the „Trakia“ highway from Chirpan to Stara Zagora . You will never take samples from these roads and submit them to the Highway Safety Institute to be tested in an international laboratory, because you will never harm those who installed you and put you in this position, those whom you paid off illegal in your opinion „inhouse“ contracts.
The caretaker government (in which you participated as deputy minister) declared them as such. You will never look for the hundreds of millions of leva distributed for landslides that will hardly ever be strengthened.
Your lies are endless. You lied that by the end of September you would open one tube of the „Railway“ tunnel, you lied that the section of the „Europa“ highway from Dragoman to Kalotina would be ready by the end of September. And in order for your lies to look like the truth, you tricked Minister Demerdzhiev into standing next to you at your disgraceful press conference.
And we will never hear that anyone will initiate an investigation against those who installed you as Minister of MRR. You turned the Road Infrastructure Agency into the most useless and desperate structure in the country, generating corruption and stealing millions of BGN from the Bulgarian people.
Mr. Shishkov,
The Bulgarian people will not forgive you, you and those who appointed you, nor your unworthy attempts to cover up corruption in the construction of roads, nor the carelessness, nor the victims on the Bulgarian roads! Sooner or later the truth will come out.”
