Bulgarians abroad are organizing a protest in Sydney demanding the resignation of the government. It will start at 12:00 on July 26 on the stairs in front of the iconic Opera of the Australian city. This is clear from a post on the social network Facebook. The organizers of the discontent described it as „the most Bulgarian protest in Sydney in support of the protesters in Bulgaria.“
…
At the same time, effective strike actions are starting today in Bulgaria. Protesters gathered in front of the National Assembly building at 07:00 and recalled that the debates on the no-confidence vote begin today.
„If the vote passes, it means that everyone inside has reached a deal to keep the status quo, formally replacing Borisov with a figure like Medvedev – Putin. If it doesn’t work out, things are clear too. We, the citizens, have no interest in this. We have been observing it for 30 years. The result is clear to us.”
The aim of the protesters is to block all activities in our country – highways, roads, intersections, stations, airports, bridges and any public building or activity.
The organizers of today’s discontent call on the citizens to feel free to find all possible ways to block the current government. Their goals are two – the resignation of the government and Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev.
