Coronavirus: 3 deaths and 31 new cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria

There are 31 new cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria bringing the total number of infected people in the country to 2,100, announced gen. Mutafchiyski during the regular virus briefing of Bulgarian National Headquarters from Thursday.

Over 1,611 people have been tested for the respiratory disease over the past 24 hours.

There are 12 new cases in Sofia. Four patients have been admitted to hospitals and 8 are receiving home treatments. In the city of Yambol, there are 6 new cases, in Pleven 4, in Sliven 3, Plovdiv  2 and in Gabrovo, Kyustendil, Montana, Pazardzhik a total of 4. 

Three health workers have contracted the virus over the last day. One is a doctor from Pazardzhik and one a nurse from Pleven. The total number of infected medical workers reached 228.

There are 365 COVID-19 patients admitted for medical treatment. Patients in intensive wards across the country are 51

Three septuagenarians lost their lives to the new coronavirus. One is a 79-years old man from a nursing home in Kula. The other elders are a 75-years old woman from Sofia and an 87-years-old man with multiple heart problems treated in the hospital of “Pirogov” hospital.
