Massive testing of Bansko residents for Covid-19 begins. The measure will be taken by the National Operational Headquarters at the behest of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov. He announced this at a briefing at the Council of Ministers.
The requested 1 million tests from the Common European Order have not yet arrived in Bulgaria, but despite the shortage experienced in Bulgaria, there will be massive testing in Bansko, it became clear from the Prime Minister’s words.
Borisov reminded that he has appointed the National Operations Headquarters and its members can propose, but political responsibility lies with him and the ministers and because of that they make the decisions.
In Bansko, rapid tests will be used to show whether humans have developed antibodies to the coronavirus. According to specialists, they are appropriate in this case.
Borisov also said that Bansko is considered as the outbreak of the infection in Bulgaria and people have really suffered a lot because they were under complete blockade for 14 days.
