There are 36 new confirmed coronavirus cases in Bulgaria and 11 COVID patients admitted for hospital treatment over the last 24 hours, announced Secretary of the Bulgarian coronavirus task force Dimo Dimov. According to his information, a total of 1,605 people have been tested over the last day.
The number of confirmed COVID cases in Bulgaria reached 2,408 across 11 active regions. In the capital city of Sofia, there are 15 new cases, in Yambol 8, in Blagoevgrad 3, in Lovech and Pazardzhik 2, and single cases have been confirmed in Vratsa, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Pleven, Haskovo and Sliven.
There is one case of an infected minor – a 17-year-old from Knezha, related to the infected nurse from the town.
Two medics have contracted the disease – a doctor and nurse from Lovech and Yambol.
Thirty-nine COVID patients have been discharged from hospitals bringing the total number of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 808 people.
A 74-year-old woman with COVID-19 passed away last night in “St. Anna” hospital in Sofia. She was suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and ischemic heart disease. The number of coronavirus deaths as of Saturday is 126 people.
Currently, there are 258 patients admitted for hospital treatment and 29 people in intensive wards.
