There are 47 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Bulgaria over the past 24 announced the secretary of National Operations Headquarters Assoc. Prof. Dimo Dimov. According to his information, 1,126 tests are made for the period with the total number of tests conducted in the country reaching 47,636. This equals to 6,805 test per 1 million of the population.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,588 and the number of active cases – 1,232.
The municipality of Razgrad is a new active region. There are new 6 cases in the capital city of Sofia, in Vidin 22, in Blagoevgrad 5, in Pleven 3, in Kyustendil and Pernik a total of 4, and single cases are established in the cities of Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Vratsa, Razgrad, Smolyan, Sliven, and Yambol.
There are 5 infected children between 2 and 16 years of age, three of them being from Blagoevgrad, one from Vratsa, and 1 from Vidin.
Four medical workers have contracted the new coronavirus. Three are from the hospital of “Pirgov” and 1 is from Pleven.
Eleven patients have fully recovered from the respiratory disease raising the total number of patients recovered to 287.
There are 3 new COVID-19 related death cases over the past 24 hours. One is of a 64-years-old man from Smolyan suffering from accompanying diseases and complications. The other two cases are from Sliven – a 65-years-old man and a 43-years-old doctor from the local Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment.
