Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior Chief Commissioner Ivaylo Ivanov said there were quarantined police officers. According to him, they either have returned from abroad or have contacted other people suffering from COVID-19.
At the checkpoints, all instructions are followed and citizens are not allowed to pass through without a valid reason, Ch. Commissioner Ivanov commented. He noted that there were some intruders and called for:
„If they fail to comply with the measures, more restrictions will be introduced – going home can be banned altogether. You saw what happened in Italy, France, Spain, let’s not get into this situation too.“
The supply of false declarations of exit from regional cities will be restricted by the common Ministry of Internal Affairs letterhead. They can now be freely found on the Internet. So far the police have dealt with the situation, so it is not necessary to involve the army, says Chief Commissioner Ivanov.
