There are only ultimatums at the table of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. This opinion was expressed by the Vice President of the Atlantic Club in Bulgaria and former Ambassador of our country to the United States Elena Poptodorova.
She stressed that she has faith in diplomacy and that this has been repeated by everyone since the conflict broke out in Ukraine. This has always been done with the hope that the ultimatums may remain in the background and that some real negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv may finally begin. Poptodorova pointed out that she would very much like to say that there is a flash, but unfortunately the facts show something completely different at this stage.
For example, she gave the failed negotiations on humanitarian corridors, as well as their guarantee – something that was seemingly agreed between Russia and Ukraine. There will be a third attempt at negotiations today, but unfortunately nothing is foreshadowed by them. And this is true even when it comes to humanitarian corridors.
Something more. Information has reached the world that a massive attack is being prepared against the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, and this will be the biggest and most difficult battle.
Poptodorova also said the talks were not the Kremlin’s goal. She also sees a coincidence between what is happening in Ukraine and the way the war in Syria has been fought. Therefore, one could only predict the difficult scenarios that were yet to come.
