“Almost half of them believe that their financial situation will worsen. Support mechanisms are needed, both in terms of inflation and in terms of the energy sector. There are many serious cases in the energy industry. Mechanisms must be found for predictability on the business side.”
This was stated by the economist Vladimir Sirkarov regarding the concerns of a large part of the Bulgarian citizens about what awaits them by the end of the year. According to him, there is a different distribution in the burden of prices for household consumers and for businesses. According to him, the pressure related to increasing energy resources continues.
“A lot of people will be out of work, especially in the smaller regions in Bulgaria. Certain industries literally feed the entire population there. One person feeds the whole family and household. This risk of shaking the labor market, as a result of the many economic factors that we have been commenting on for months, can lead to very serious social dimensions”, commented Sirkarov.
The economist is adamant that business is suffering the most serious blows and this trend continues. His concerns are that a large number of checkmate companies face serious challenges, which could lead to their going out of business.
According to him, the reduction of VAT, as a main function during an inflationary crisis, aims to prevent an increase in the price of bread. According to him, the idea of this measure is that it will have a social effect and consumption will not fall.
