The average price of the most common fuel in Bulgaria A-95 fell to 2.05 Bulgarian levs per liter early this morning, reaching 1.80 Bulgarian levs at some gas stations. The price difference reached between 0.40 and 0.50 Bulgarian levs per liter.
With the outbreak of the coronavirus infection, the oil prices dropped to record low levels.
Energy expert, Martin Vladimirov, commented that the drop in the fuel prices is between 7% and 10%. According to him the drop is relatively low compared to the global oil prices which dropped by about 65%.
“The crude oil accounts for about 33% of the total fuel price. Therefore, the price drop for the end consumer is much smaller.”
According to the expert, the average price of A-95 should be below 2 Bulgarian levs per liter. He believes that the prices would continue to fall during the upcoming week.
