The police said that five protesters were detained in the capital’s Fifth Regional Police Department for vandalism during a demonstration in Sofia last night.
Three of those arrested are minors. Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted. A report on the materials in the prosecutor’s office is forthcoming. A woman was taken to the same police station to establish her identity.
We remind you that last night citizens of the „System Kills Us“ organized a protest entitled „We are strong together“. During it, Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd. in front of the old building of the National Assembly was blocked. Despite the cold weather, dozens of people joined the protest demanding the government’s resignation. There were representatives of Justice for Everyone.
After 8 p.m., several bombs exploded, and protesters tried to break through a cordon of police to „lay a wreath“ on the stairs in front of the building. For a short time there was tension, which was quickly controlled. As a sign of dissatisfaction, mothers from „The System Kills Us“ threw smoke, which they said symbolized the current situation.
Dissatisfied with the government, citizens threw pirates in front of almost all institutions. They also destroyed the office of GERB, located on Dondukov Boulevard.
The demonstration ended with a blockade of the Eagle Bridge, where it was decided to hold the next protest on December 14.
