GERB, BSP and MRF did everything possible to fail the vote on the bill for the National Security Service /NSS/ by leaving their jobs on the run, outraged on social networks Dimitar Naidenov, an MP from „Democratic Bulgaria“. He wrote:
„The Chairwoman of the National Assembly from GERB literally failed the quorum procedure, so we still can’t answer whether the bill was adopted or not. We are expecting developments.“
After the MPs voted at the first reading the bills for amendments to the bill on the National Security Service, submitted by Chairwoman of the National Assembly Iva Miteva and Nikolay Hadzhigenov from „Stand up BG! We are coming!“, there was complete chaos in the parliament. They provide for the national guard not to protect Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev, but it was not clear whether the bills were adopted or not. In the midst of the disorder, a roll call of the quorum in the National Assembly began.
According to the voting board, the bill has passed, but only 100 people voted and 121 are needed for a quorum. Disputes over the parliamentary rostrum have also started separately. In the end, the bill was re-voted. When it was re-voted for changes in the National Security Service bill, only 102 MPs voted, but the proposal was not accepted. MPs reacted again and started new disputes. Toshko Yordanov from “ There Is Such A People“ addressed the BSP:
„If they were afraid of the National Security Service bill, go out and vote. Where are the BSP MPs or Parliament is just to go early in the morning, give an interview and leave afterwards.“
It seems that GERB, BSP and MRF do not approve the National Security Service bill. The current situation of the Service has obviously been favorable and that is why today they failed its vote. Once again, the deputies from the three parties showed that their model of government is manipulation. How can there be a change in Bulgaria when there are no principles in the government? And GERB, BSP and MRF were not strongly connected…
