The MPs from GERB-UDF, MRF and BSP failed the last meeting of the Commission on the Rosenets case. Chairman Kaloyan Yankov from “Democratic Bulgaria” party made two attempts to gather a quorum, but both failed. The commission was scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. 15 minutes later there were only 6 MPs in the hall from „There is such a people“, „Democratic Bulgaria“ and „Stand up BG! We are coming!“. The Commission shall consist of 12 members. Thus, one MP was not enough to gather a quorum and hold a sitting.
Today, lawmakers had invited Ahmed Dogan for a hearing to find out what his connection to Rosenets is and why he uses properties worth BGN 10 million, which are formally owned by two companies. Yankov was adamant that this question remains open and an answer will be sought in the next parliament.
