Greece has demanded the immediate opening of all Bulgaria–Greece border crossings.
…
This came with the help of a protest petition backed by 22 mayors from the north of the country. In a letter of protest, they said they found no logic in keeping only the „Kulata-Promahon‘ border checkpoint open.
The request calls for an immediate response from all ministers involved in this decision and for the urgent intervention of all deputies in the district.
The closure of the border checkpoints with Bulgaria has led to a cessation of the flow of tourists in the northern part of our neighboring country. In this way, the locals, who make their living from the hotel business, are facing great challenges.
We remind you that from July 1, as part of the strengthening of measures to combat COVID-19, Greece introduced for all arriving citizens, regardless of their nationality, the completion of a special online form, which can be found at https://travel.gov.gr/. The form have to be completed at least 48 hours before entering the country.
