The co-chair of Democratic Bulgaria, Hristo Ivanov, will attack before a higher court the refusal of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office to initiate pre-trial proceedings on his signal for the audio recordings of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. Today he also submitted a request for all materials on the inspection to be made public in view of the high public interest.

The politician pointed out that he is in a hurry to get the refusal of pre-trial proceedings because a new hearing in the European Parliament is coming after the New Year and he wants the MEPs to understand how the prosecutor’s office worked on the case.
„We will not give up the request for the prosecution to do its job, including through our European Parliament, because it is ours, we have chosen it,“ he said, adding that the records showed that this was a breach of national security. it has been clarified how and by whom Borisov was registered), for corruption, for conflict of interests and for influence on the prosecutor’s office by the Prime Minister.
Ivanov also expressed concern that the prosecution had not checked at all whether the prime minister was on the record.
