Do you know why it is impossible to find a sane person to support the demands of the police to increase their salaries? No, because people want there to be no law and order in Bulgaria. Quite the opposite. We really want to have, but there are none. And law enforcement officers are directly responsible for this. Ordinary people are reluctant to forgive them.
It is not possible to pour endless new money into every drilled barrel in Bulgaria. Interior Ministry officials wanted an increase. And resented the poor working conditions. Who is to blame for complaining for so many years and wanting more and more? Don’t you yourself know what a large percentage of the staff of the ministry are absolutely useless contract appointments, standing in the heat, in the name of one salary, several bonuses and dozens of privileges? Is it so hard to guess that if the system is reformed and these drones disappear from it, there will be more money? Both for salaries and for equipment.
Of course you guess. You just don’t feel like confronting useless employees and saying what the problem is, because you know that behind them is a powerful beast that you should not anger, but on the contrary – to protect from the love of the people. The bloated state serves to carry out political orders and put pressure on the few who dare to raise an opposition voice. You know it. And not only do you accept this relentlessly, because „it is so here,“ but you also go out against the people with batons and kicks every time they, the sovereign, want to change something in this country.
How do we all know who the criminals are in the neighborhood, the city, the state, and you don’t know? In fact, you know. But you keep them free. And this is not about the shortcomings of the prosecution and the judiciary. You know them. And you are silent. You voluntarily agree to be part of the omerta and to tame yourself. Because everyone calms down. This is not even about high values. Your basic duties have not been fulfilled. At your will. Because of your silence. Because you prefer to bow your heads and pretend to be pleasantly distracted, while you watch over the peace of the „chosen ones of God“ and do not care for ordinary people. Those who work and pay your salaries.
You leave them at the mercy of your true masters. Those you guard. And on every convenient occasion you want more money from these same masters. Because you know they will give you. After all, they give the money to the people, not their own. And the people cannot resist. After all, if he dares to protest, you will immediately take the lead against him?
First line. This was one of your main reasons for the salary increase. You were at the forefront as teachers, doctors and other government officials, their salaries were increased and yours were not. It was unfair. Yes, it could be so. How could your salaries not be increased, when you were so conscientiously on the „front line“ when someone had to beat and arrest protesters because the government’s situation was more than complicated? This is certainly already unfair.
And the people have a choice to pay and to be silent or not to take a stick. You have been more than committed to power, there is a pandemic now, and elections are coming. So when is a better time to raise your voice for more money? The government distributes, the people pay and everything is ready.
That’s how it turns out. But you seem to forget that governments come and go, and the people stay. And he’s not as sheepish as you think. The posture of the stern law enforcement officer, who does not hesitate to throw himself against the bad guys at the risk of his life, to which you aspire, has long given way to the ugly reality. A greedy, soulless machine for oppressing ordinary people in favor of those with power and money. No matter who is right or who is wrong.
Yes, you will receive money. Those who distribute them need you very much to steal in peace. However, do not ask for respect. You yourself do not respect what you expect from us. And don’t go out and talk about the many decent people in the system. If they were, they would go out and tell the truth. Without fear for themselves and the consequences.
If a few, a few dozen or hundreds of people do it, everything will change and the vicious system will, will not, change. We will have a greater sense of security, you will work in a more modern environment and you will receive respect and higher salaries, and the derby players will have in mind that you are not obedient to their puppies. Until then, neither be surprised nor indignant at the ridicule and neglect. They are fully deserved.
