“We appreciate the support we had from Ivan Hristanov. He worked with a lot of emotion and did a lot in the field of forest conservation. It was the emotion, in my opinion, that played a prank on him and the decision he made was not correct. He gave an ultimatum ‘either I am a leader or I will not be on the list’, which led to the decision of the national council not to be included in the election at all.”
This was stated by Iskren Arabadjiev from the “We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” Coalition. According to him, there is no problem with the lists in the union, and in the coming days information is expected to come out about the distribution and where the leaders of Democratic Bulgaria and „We continue the change“ are placed. Arabadzhiev said:
“We took the results of the last election and said – we strive to have such a distribution that corresponds to the forces in the last parliament. In the same way and for the leaders of the lists – we saw where the most active people were, we complied with the wishes of some of the colleagues and we all shook hands.”
He added that although the coalition appears for the first time in this form, the voters are already familiar with its priorities. According to him, in the next parliament it will be the defense of the justice reform and the fight for the anti-corruption commission to finally work. We will also work on Euro-Atlantic integration and the fastest possible acceptance of our country into the Eurozone and Schengen.
