Ivaylo Mirchev, the deputy from „We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria“, wrote a post on the social network Facebook, in which he revealed that top investors have been bypassing Bulgaria for a long time. According to him, the reason for this has become more than visible in recent days. We publish his analysis unedited:
“For a long time, top investors have been bypassing Bulgaria. The realities surrounding the main cause have become visible in recent days – the Notary, the Euro, Krasio Chernia and all the intermediaries in the judicial system and the prosecution.
Changes have started in the Constitution but must continue with the Judiciary Act, the Anti-Corruption Commission and regulators. Thus, the purification of this pus will be catalyzed as a process. For over 20 years, the interplay between politicians, prosecutors, judges, senior police officers has led to the possibility that anyone can be hit, any business can be stolen, which ultimately has an impact not only on the sense of justice in society, but also on the standard of living and income. to all Bulgarians.
It is fashionable these days for every politician to talk about justice reform and explain that he was not part of this mafia model. Therefore, before any interview in a studio or in parliament, every MP, politician, minister (including a former one) should be asked: „Have you met Petio Euroto, the Notary, Krasio Chernia and the other brokers in the judicial system?“ Have you influenced the affairs of, or slandered, anyone?’
No matter what legal changes we manage to push through, no matter what we say publicly, we are aware that no one will believe in the re-working institutions until they see corrupt ministers, mayors, senior civil servants brought before a functioning court, convicted and in prison.
When this becomes a fact, we can say that many years of effort have borne fruit. Otherwise, we will remain as before – proven to be the most non-corrupt country in Europe, without a single minister or MP convicted of corruption. The latter is no longer even funny for children.”
