The leader of the “We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria” coalition, Kiril Petkov, has once again declared that he will not support the GERB-DPS government.
Earlier today, President Rumen Radev handed the first exploratory mandate for forming a cabinet to Prime Minister candidate Rosen Zhelyazkov. Here is what Petkov wrote on Facebook on the subject:
“We will not support the GERB-DPS government that Peevski dreams of, because the next reforms Bulgaria needs are impossible with them.
All of Peevski’s power comes from three places: greed and fear of ladybugs in institutions; Borissov has rented out his party for his own peace of mind; the low voter turnout, otherwise its deputies may fall by half in the next elections if we raise the number of voters.
We can and do refuse a government with the first mandate. This is the power of freedom.”
