Today we will enter into discussions with the other leaders, said the Co-Chairman of „We Continue the Change“ political party, Kiril Petkov. In his words, their idea is to implement a new process of discussion. He commented:
„We believe that we have a lot of things that unite us. We have many common themes, including „There is Such a People“ political party. Let’s start talking about these policies with the experts of each of the forces.“
Petkov pointed out that the desire of „We continue the Change“ was to create working groups to unite all parties with which they want to form a coalition. He noted that there would also be a leadership meeting, and the talks would not be about which ministry it will be for whom, but about organizing a process that will unite everyone from the start, adding:
„Let us enter into negotiations that will produce results with clear policies and their clear implementation. It will be beneficial for the Bulgarian people to hear what are the policies and what are the differences we are debating. Let it be clear that there are no backroom deals and improper discussions. Everyone should know that we have a common national goal.“
The Co-Chairman clarified that he had already spoken to some of the political leaders. He pointed out that these were Korneliya Ninova, Hristo Ivanov and Slavi Trifonov. Petkov stressed that their points of contact are more than their differences and added:
„The optimistic thing is that we have a large majority of people who want change this time. We are obviously beginning to see that there are more points of contact than points of separation.”
Kiril Petkov is adamant that as many details as possible will be added so that everyone is bound by precise, clear and specific goals. He stressed that the chief prosecutor is a point that requires a constitutional majority. According to him, the first step is to go through Commission for Combating Corruption and Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property and the removal of Tsatsarov.
